Description
Zhong Kui, reputedly a distinguished scholar of the Tang Dynasty, was known for his extraordinary talent despite his unattractive appearance. Rejected from office because of his looks, he took his own life in indignation. Impressed by his valor, the King of Hell invited him to serve in the Underworld. Later, he appeared in Emperor Xuanzong's dream, capturing ghosts and binding spirits, and was bestowed the title "True Lord Bestowing Blessings and Guarding the House."

Carved from millennium-old black jade from the eastern slope of Mount Zhongnan, the seal face bears ancient Zhuan script for “warding off evil and dispelling misfortune” (characters inlaid with cinnabar). The seal knob features a relief of Zhong Kui, armored and demon-hunting. In the Tang dynasty, Zhong Kui used it to pacify the ghosts of Chang’an; when the holder nears evil, the seal shudders and exudes a cool fragrance.

The first detonation will prevent death at the cost of permanently losing 50% of max HP, restore to full health, and permanently increase self-destruct damage by 30%.
