Description

Watanabe no Tsuna: A mid-Heian period warrior and one of Minamoto no Yorimitsu's 'Four Heavenly Kings,' known for his courage and decisiveness. He is most famous for the "Rashomon Demon Battle," where he rode alone at night to fight the demon Ibaraki-dōji and severed its arm, a legendary moment in Japanese yokai folklore. In subsequent tales, he battled many other demons and monsters. Though historical records are limited, he frequently appears in texts like Otogizōshi and Konjaku Monogatari, symbolizing the ideal demon-slaying warrior.
