Description

Hou Yi, a legendary hero from ancient Chinese mythology during the reign of Emperor Yao. Known for shooting down nine suns with his divine bow, saving the world from drought. He later killed many mythical beasts and was granted an elixir of immortality by the Queen Mother of the West. However, his wife Chang'e took the elixir and flew to the moon, creating the classic legends of 'Hou Yi Shoots the Suns' and 'Chang'e Flies to the Moon.' He represents bravery, salvation, and cosmic order, appearing in classic works like Classic of Mountains and Seas and Songs of Chu, and deeply influencing literature and modern pop culture.
