Alash, the top archer of the Persian Pishdadian Dynasty, served as the leader of the elite archer unit under King Manuchehr. His unparalleled archery skills became legendary on both sides during the sixty-year war between Persia and Turan. When the two nations agreed to set their borders with a fallen arrow, Alash climbed a mountain with a specially crafted bow and arrow. As both armies watched, he drew his bow to its absolute limit and released the arrow, setting the new boundary—but at the cost of his own life, as his body gave out from the immense exertion.
