Description

Augustus, also known as Octavian, was the first emperor of the Roman Empire. After Caesar's assassination, he rose to power, defeating his rivals Antony and Cleopatra in a civil war, and established the Roman Empire. He implemented reforms, secured the empire's borders, and developed the economy, bringing the period of "Pax Romana" prosperity and laying the foundation for the empire's strength.
